Animate A Way is in a lucky position to have grown as fast as it has over the last two years. We have made many key partnerships with organizations here in San Diego and far beyond. As we seek to push the potential of our youth, we also encourage the full potential of those who want to build community with us.
If you are interested in taking part in our fast growing organization, please take a look at our requirements. We hope that by the end of this page, you will be even more excited to get behind our cause.
BOARD MEMBER TERMS
Board members sign on for a term of 3 years. Members are welcome to change positions or extend their terms, at the request of a board vote.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Know and understand our mission, which will be the basis for all board decisions.
- Serve on at least one committee.
- Regularly attend monthly board meetings (3rd Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in Linda Vista).
- Participate in our community events.
EXPECTATIONS
We are not seeking a body to fill a seat or a complacent donor. We seek an energetic and driven board that desires to affect change. A board member is expected to find ways to advance the organization, to associate the organization with people of influence that they may know or know of and to find additional avenues to bring Animate A Way into greater involvement with the community.
CURRENT OPENINGS
President: The president of the board holds a very important position within the organization. The president conducts all board meetings and affairs and holds general supervision, direction and control of the business and affairs of the coporation. The president will lead the annual review of the executive director and will provide the board feedback on all quarterly reviews submitted by the executive director. While the entire board is expected to find avenues for growing awareness of the organization, the president is most responsible to enacting plans and delegating responsibilities to make sure that growth is attained.
