The Committees of AAW

The following groups are a pivotal component of helping Animate A Way become the community based program that it strives to be. If you know anyone who would be well suited for a seat on any of these committees, then have them get in contact with us.

EVENTS COMMITTEE
We endeavor to build community and to reinforce local families, and a key aspect of achieving those goals is to host film exhibitions that not only celebrate the work made by our students, but to provide family safe alternatives with film. This group also helps coordinate fundraising events. Ideal committee members are outgoing, socially active and have a keen sense of how to raise awareness and interest for family events.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Animate A Way is an after school program from the start and at its core. Our syllabus has been strong since our inception, but the only way to grow is to adapt and change. We revise our program every year given what we have learned through previous years and in conjunction with what is working for educators on a larger scale. We are always looking for input and this committee is formed to create that dialogue. Interested parties should have a background in education and be aware of best practices for reaching out to youth.

DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
This important group is in charge of brainstorming the best ways to meet our annual financial goals, to find the best avenues for fundraising and to find strategic placement for our program and our leadership in order to best grow the organization. Interested applicants should be goal-oriented leaders who are fiscally responsible.
